FULL OF STRENGTH- F.O.S(a poem by Sunsampaul Egwu)

Food were drained,
Dehydration swallowed their lungs,
Poverty telegraphing in their midst,
Care they didn't meet,
Cholera vomiting  grotesque dust of bad health on them.
Yet they dodge the punches of death,
To them I say F.O.S.

To those whose minds were raped,
By the boom boom sound of boko's alarm.
Their heart bleeds,
Splitting and tearing their bodies apart,
Paralyzed on hospital bed,
They were caressed by the cold hand of coma.
Yet death withdrew its from them.
To them I say F.O.S.

To my brothers, your brothers
My sisters, your sisters
Who catapulted themselves,
In the war front like Urial.
Aliens tormented them,
Cold raped their minds,
Fear kissed them,
But the sun smiled at them.
And death made way for them.
To them I say F.O.S.

To the ones who were visited by HIV,
AIDS came climbing with no aid.
This virus sang dirge to their health,
This virus they couldn't bribe with wealth,
Tested, the result blinks positive,
This virus has come like a thief,
But the lord breath on them,
And the result turns negative.
To them I say F.O.S.

To my mother, your mother,
My father, your father
Who eat the cramp in the damp,
Working tooth and nail, sleeping in the camp,
Prayed and sang.
Cold battered them,
Harmattan hammers them,
Yet they keep struggling to make sure we survive.
To them I say F.O.S.

To my brethren in the lord,
Who wine and dine in evangelism,
Megaphone now sound system,
Piercing the truth in our system.
They were tortured,
Brutality smashed their faces,
Cains created zebra crossings on their back.
Pathetic persecution travels in their marrow,
But they still see tomorrow.
To them I say F.O.S.

To the innocent ones,
Who were taken by force to prison,
No crime they committed and no reason.
Chains bounded them,
Sack clothes covered them.
Hot iron planted tattoos on their chest,
Starvation weep for them,
They were clustered with dirt,
Yet they didn't tasted death.
To them  I say F.O.S.

To those lasses in campus,
Threatened to be failed by lecturers,
Coz they refuse selling their bodies.
Books installed in their brains,
Brilliancy their gift,
Decency their habit,
Integrity their duty,
Torment from lecturers travelled in their vein,
Yet the still graduated with first class degree.
To them I say F.O.S.

To our brothers in campus
Threatened in full force by cultists,
Tormented to belong,
Yet they refuse to go along.
Their joy lost itself in mistiness,
They were deprived of happiness,
Campus become a dungeon for them,
Yet the stood on their ground, saying no to cultism.
To them I say F.O.S.

To  Africans and our stigma,
Our mark of enthusiasm lost,
Our ship turns cheap,
Leaders turns rulers.
We are now Judged by our complexion not character,
Our hospitals downtrodden,
Schools fallen,
Houses sank,
Famine seen,
Tears rolled down our cheek,
Yet we still live.
To us I say F.O.S.

NB: F.O.S in this poem means Full Of Strength

REST IN PIECES(a poem by Sunsampaul Egwu)

R.I.P
To those devilish sadist,
Who've made evil their habits,
Tormenting the innocents,
Persecuting us in resilience,
They're all bunch of aliens.

R.I.P
To all evil perpetrators,
Who came as terminators,
Terminating lives,
Truncating destinies,
Torturing souls,
Puncturing dreams,
They're all bunch of sinners.
R.I.P
To those heartless Assassins,
Who kill, thinking it's not a sin.
Today I've seen,
That they are bunch of bins,
Who use a swords and thrust,
Pull out guns and shoot,
Drew arrows and fire.
Just to please their selfish desire.
They're all bunch of killers.
R.I.P
To those witches and wizards,
Who perform witchcraft
Claiming they've a craft,
Flying tiredly at night,
Taking lives as if it's their right,
They're all bunch of devil's knight,
R.I.P
To those foes,
Who taught they have wisdom,
Yet deny us our freedom,
Refusing the day to shine on us,
Craving jealousy in their mind,
Pestering the day light out of us,
Just coz we're far better than them,
They're all bunch of Sahara fools.
R.I.P
To those heartless politicians,
Who only take politics as a game,
Wasting souls to have fame,
Splitting bodies so they can reign,
Sucking blood with swords and guns again.
All these they do, thinking they've gain
They're all miscreants in disguise.
R.I.P
To those men of the underworld,
Who desire to claim to the world,
Forgetting there's power in the word.
Pounding babies for rituals,
Wishing to taste honey
While we exchanging ladies' breast for blood money,
Plucking out men's penis for evil money,
They're all bunch of devourers.
R.I.P
To those wicked human traffickers
Trafficking our daughters,
Using them to make money,
Ravaging their vagina via sex play,
Torturing them in sex games,
Making them sex toys.
Leaving their lives in shambles,
Many lost their virginity in rambles,
They're all bunch of destroyers.
R.I.P
To those cult boys and girls in campus,
Who steal sleep out of our eyes in campus,
Feeling very pompous.
Threatening students,
Bordering lecturers,
Tormenting souls,
Polluting environment,
They're all bunch of rascals
R.I.P
To all of them, I say R.I.P,
Rest In Pieces.
They must all Rest In Pieces,
For the evil they've done us,
They need no Peace,
But needed to Rest in Pieces.

PREMATURE SEX(a poem by Sunsampaul Egwu)

Dramatically your ego flaunt
Leaving you amidst regret
After a period of premature enjoyment
Just to mingle while single

After the bang bang bang
Comes the nag nag nag
After you played reggae with her
Comes the blues she will play for you
After the enjoyment
Comes the regret
Premature sex

It started to move slowly and slowly
Suddenly great moan was heard
And she screamed do it faster
Muscle was flexed of the fast pacing

Faster and faster
The fun get more lovely
Moaning was intense
The speed now tactful
Shooting of bombs in her hut
Splitting to diverse direction to strike an egg

Scraggy both part of species
Depositing nature in her
Skin to skin
Flesh to flesh.
Hilarious fun
Fun fare for the youth
Premature sex
A fun to enjoy at the start
A fun to regret after few months

Planting seed of  'I thy know' in both life
Pleasure with negative treasure
Living between the thighs of a temptress
With that iron rod
You can't control
After 30 minutes becomes as small as an inhaler

Wandering with STDs
Skin to skin
Landed you in
The pitch of itches. Rashes and everlasting lashes
Gonorrhea placed you in gone era of severe pains
Premature sex
You seek
Premature death you
may receive when HIV leads to AIDS
Don't be a philander
And fall in the pit of syphilis

Death is not death Duet by: Vine (Vinedepoet) Ayomikun (DaTalent)

Vinedepoet;
When death does its worst
And all seems lost,
Wear off the pain my dear
For death deserves not our tear.
Put up a smile
For this is not the end of the mile
Weep no more,
For he sleeps now but wake by morn

DaTalent;
When death comes knocking,
He comes with weeping,
Stealing away our hero,
And leaving in our heart a big zero.
And after his visit is done,
We are left but wretched and torn.

Vinedepoet;
Death leaves me in wonder
And like a wanderer
it's strength i ponder;
Of its ways I found none
O, What a phenomenon!
Weep no more!
For he sleeps now but wake by morn

DaTalent;
Death. What a friend,
Though may seem fiend
Yet carries us on his back
And leads us on our 'home track.
I gloat at death's visit,
Its glacial hug; my sole soul feat

Vinedepoet;
Save thy worry,
Need not to hurry:
When our sojourn is over,
With Celestials we'd hover,
We will not quiver nor shiver.
Dry thy grief river that abound
Ere, our Maker will come around.

DaTalent
Life is delicate
Death obliterate; cycle of fate
Lighten up ye bereaved
And let not your heart be deceived
Death is but another phase
That'll take you to your creator's place.

Vinedepoet
Let this feeling not have  you pierced
Rejoice!
For Death was  conquered before it's existence

DaTalent;
Death may cloak my glee
With its glossy scarf
Erelong, together we would be
With unending laugh.
I love you so much my dear
That I'd forever sacrifice to you my tear.

Vinedepoet;
Death is not death
It's only our vehicle to eternity from earth
Thy brother is only on a nap while he journeys
So leave all for the Great Attorney
For the judgement is for only Him
And soon we'd all meet again in the realm
Take heart!
Let my words bring thee comfort
So you can stand fit to go forth
Weep no more!
For death is not death

This threnody is inspired by the death of DaTalent's brother.

I AM FREE(a poem by Sunsampaul Egwu)

From the malicious malice of those sadists
Pretending to be in far East
With their fist ready to feast
From those mammals
Who tried to make me stammer
And put me in law of kama

I am free
From the struggled struggle of yesterday
That tried to deceive my today
From those pathetic path I match
Not knowing they're mash
That were very harsh and rash

I am free
From the loss of muse
That made me missed the track to amuse
From metabolic metabolism
That made me think there's no ink in my pen
That can free my fold from the enemies' den

I am free
From your caricatures and disguise
That made others lack guide
From your plotted plot of downfall
Which has been beaten by rainfall
And dragged to the pitted pit, until they'll fall

I am free
From your illuminated illumination of mischief
That tends to drag me like a thief
Not knowing I'm an invincible chief

I  am free
From those cancerous cancers
That led many to the dust
Made many to rust
Yet they don't want to get lost
Until I drew my sword and thrust
Coz to them I cast no trust

I am free
From those forlorn promises
That reside in my premises
As if they to be nemesis
Sent from overseas
Just to make me see
I'll be drown in the sea

I am free
From your critical criticisms
That failed to mold me
Yet they are constructive in disguise
Destructive like an evil guide
Unproductive to my side
Until they fell offside

I am free
From dreaming sleepless nights
That pretended to be knights
Trying to be right
But they are just to fright
Even when I don't want to behold their sight

I am free
From the booming booming sound of the boko haram
That left my legs touching my head in race
Panting to the brim of my pant
Clothed in blooded smell of sweat

I am free
From weakness and sickness
Wickedness of the wicked men
Weak pen and sick pen
Laziness and lousiness
Failure and brain loss
I am free from SIN

WHEN A POET DATES A POETESS.(a poem by John Chizoba Vincent)

When a poet dates a poetess;
They all go insane of words to use,
They may have no time to make love.
Poet here, poetess there, back to back
Without anyone believing each other.
Dinning is personified and oxymorously planned;
The poet knows what poetess have in mind,
And the poetess trust not the poet; beacuse all
His words she believe are exaggerations.

Separate bedroom are made for each other
Because, the inspiration must come from different air.
He argues most  times because he has
different view or perspective on something.
This paint that and, that paint that in his or her own way.
No room for exchange of glance because he
Knew the weak point of the other and can use it.

Do not dates an intelligent poetess in the morning,
Her morning nagging and pointing will shock you.
When she urinate on the foam, it becomes the poem
That wake her up to see the world in its beauty.
When in the kitchen, your spoon becomes her man,
In the toilet, your closet becomes her seat of hope
In the white house where demons fear to trade on.

Your body language becomes his table and a poetic Line,
He looks closely to your smiles, the ones that hurt
He put down on his jotter, the one that greets, he takes to his heart and the one that sting; he dodge.
When talking to you, he is rehearsing his spoken line words,
When laughing, he is practicing his gesture to the audience.

They look at each other  all the time like two cocks that want to engage in a fight because, they are looking for an expression that will tell a story that they can't tell.
When a poet dates a poetess, the world of words
Clashes because none will want to go down for the other.
The poet thinks he knows more than the poetess and
The poetess thinks she knows more than the poet.
All of them are in confusion of who is the head.

The poet can't control the poetess when she act,
Because he could be hiding something which he
Think that the poetess might know and use  against him.
The both snore and no one to stop each other:
Both always try to make poetry babies like them,
He may end up forsaking other friends and stick to her in the house.
Both are not reliable and can burn as fast as fire.

When a poet dates a poetess, they become horders.
Their favourite days are not theirs anymore,
Watching movie together will be a mistake.
No one control their proudness because poets are proud creatures.
Envy in their lives takes a new form because the poetess submit not to the poet and the poet carry his shoulder higher and higher until It gets to heaven.

Romanstic sunset will never be the same because
Each of them face the computer each seconds of the day.
He don't spend much money on her  and meals together will be quite different at home.
Holding hands will be pretty rare because he knew what is in her Palm and how to utilised it.
He can't run away from natural disaster,
He stares at different kinds of  people in public.
He find inspiration in the weiredest part of the poetess.

He will have a hard time proving that you were on vacation with him.
He won't write what she asked him to write and most of the things he had written, you might not see.
Birthday gift will be expensive to give you as a poetess that loves him.
He may not help you re- write your self or your history because he has his to re-write at dawn.
Poet' love to a poetess is not real because, he understand the poetess feelings and emotion.

LET NIGERIA BE NIGERIA AGAIN(a poem by John Chizoba Vimcent)

Let Nigeria be Nigeria again.
Let the flag demonstrate peace
Let the coat of arms be unity,
Let it be the hero it used to be.
Let it be the dream that elevate,
Let it be the love it used to be,
Uplifting its masses in prosperity.

Let Nigeria be the hand that feed many,
Let it be the great eyes that watches its children;
We many fall at the sight of fear that kills,
Let it be the dream that lift us up again.
Let it tradition come back to its abode,
Let Nigeria be the Nigeria that create hope
That take its masses to progress and blessing.

Let it be heaven on earth for us all;
A paradise which dominate the world.
My country, my home, my home, my country;
Let's anthem and pledge be the way it used to be.
Let real oppotunities be the way it used to be,
Life, a free and wonderful journey to us all.
The ghotto children taken care of by the leaders,
Let us go back to where we began before 1914.

Let Nigeria go back to it root and branches,
Let it root stand and never be uprooted.
Let us see the lines drawn on the sky and
Cease to be afraid of the air we breath.
Let Terrorism go into extinction like before
When we have none but hear only from others.
Let killing and shading of innocent blood stop,
Let Nigeria be Nigeria again and again.

Let Nigeria be Nigeria again I pray,
Let's  go back to the farmers we were known for.
Let plant the coco we were known for,
Let's drink sapale water in a round surface table,
Let's Nigeria tales be told as it used to be.
Let the leaders be the leaders they used to be,
Let the church be the Church again and
Our colleges and universities, a place of learning.

I am a child of tears who have seen no progress,
I cry and pray for my country everyday and night.
Let discrimination and tribalism stop immediately!
Let bribery and corruption stop at this moment!
Who says the youths have no dream for the country?
Who says we are not learned or rather we can not
Control a country to good?
When is the future when a man of seventy two is still in the office as a president while a man of Fifty; educated and capable is sleeping at home?

I have been abused in my own country,
My fellow poets are wailing down town;
What have we not done to better this country?
Our hands are always on desks interpreting the words
Of the gods, when shall we be remembered?
Let Nigeria be Nigeria again I pray!
Nigeria was never the Nigeria I used to know as
I write this in tears of the imprisoned rain.

Who shall redeem us now because we as
The eyes of the country must be redeemed?
I see suffering and pains in this country;
I see a Nigeria that seek for itself rather than
It masses who stand as its offspring day and night.
Our generation is messed and forgotten by the leaders
Let Nigeria be the Nigeria again I pray.
